    Dani woke the next morning alone. She
turned over to find a note on the pillow next to her. She lay back against her

    I
had to check my schedule for the day. I’ll be back soon.

    Dani put the note on the nightstand and
pushed the covers back, glad that last night really happened. She couldn’t wait
to tell her friends. Just as she leaned over her bedside to grab the T-shirt
discarded the night before, the door opened.
    “Good
morning,” Craig said, walking in. “Did you get my note? I didn’t want you to
think I just cut out on you.”
    She
smiled. “Good morning. The note was very thoughtful. Thank you.”
    He sat
next to her. “Thoughtful? I’m glad you think so, but I’m trying to stay on your
good side. I wanted you to know I didn’t just want this to be a one-night
stand. Although I thoroughly enjoyed what has already transpired in this room,
I’d like to get to know you outside of here too,” he said with a laughing grin.
    She
pushed herself back against the headboard, pulling the sheet over her lap.
    “Well,
I’m glad. My friends sent me on this weekend for my birthday. If I could take you home as a gift that would be great.” She
giggled.
    “When’s
your birthday?”
    “It’s
today. I’m thirty. They wanted me to try new things.”
    “Really?” He moved closer to her. “I could
show you lots of new things to tell them about,” he said with a mischievous
grin, then kissed her.
    “ Mmm , I’d like that. So what does your schedule look like
today?”
    “Luckily
I only have one client for a one-on-one today. A beginner, a woman named Danica Monroe.”
    Dani’s mouth dropped open, then she burst into fits of laughter.
    “What?
What’s funny?”
    “Craig, I’m Danica Monroe!”
she said, continuing to laugh. “My friends set me up for the one-on-one
training with a ski instructor.”
    Slowly
comprehension dawned on his handsome features before his smile widened.
    “So,
then I guess it’s up to you then.”
    She tilted
her head. “What’s up to me?”
    “It’s
up to you to choose what it is you want me to instruct you in this weekend. I
can teach you how to ski or…” He paused to move closer and placed a soft kiss
on her neck. “I can lay you back and show you something else new.”
    Dani grinned as her own revelation
occurred.
    “I’m
good on the slopes, but my skill in the sheets is unmatched,” he added in a
whisper against her throat.
    His
words sent a thrill through her body. Dani slipped
her arms around his neck and she pulled him to the bed with her.
    “If
this is my instructor’s specialty, who am I to deny his expert advice?”
