constructed with concrete and glass. The glass is tinted for privacy, but it still gives the house a glam effect.
I feel like I’m underdressed! Maybe I should’ve asked where the party would be before I picked out my outfit. They even have valet parking!
After I hand over my keys, we strut to the front door, probably looking like the crew of innocent, naive freshmen that we are. And check it out, there are two bouncers at the door, just like we’re at the club.
    â€œID?” one of them asks.
We all pull out driver’s licenses and promptly get the arm band that says Toddler. This is funny to me. Why we gotta be toddlers? Why can’t we just be the fly underage girls?
â€œI thought you said they wouldn’t be checking ID,” Piper says.
    I shrug. “I guess I was wrong.”
Actually, I’ve only ever been to industry parties here. With those parties, it’s anything goes. I guess they don’t play that with college frat parties.
â€œThere’s my boyfriend!” Gia squeals as she dashes away from us. So much for Spelman sisterhood! She’s dropped me in thirty seconds flat and left me with the Gamma groupies.
I would’ve dipped too, though, if my very hot boyfriend was at this party. Because there are a bunch of video vixen types who don’t seem to have enough clothing on.
I watch as Gia gives her man a hug. He looks so happy to see her, even though I’m sure it hasn’t been long since they hung out.
It makes me miss Sam terribly.
â€œWho is the hottie with Gia’s boyfriend?” Piper asks.
Meagan says, “Maybe that’s her Morehouse bestie. Let’s go get introduced.”
Could these two be anymore thirsty? I guess maybe I’d be joining in with the thirstiness if I didn’t have a boyfriend.
Gia holds out her hand to us as we approach.
â€œThese are my new friends that I was telling you about,” Gia gushes. Must she be so excited about everything?
â€œO-M-G!” Kevin says. “You didn’t say you were friends with Sunday Tolliver! Hi! I’m Kevin!”
On closer inspection, Gia’s other friend Kevin is good looking, but he’s definitely not a hottie in my book. Well, not in the traditional sense of hotties. He’s lacking a great deal in the swag department. I would never kick it with a guy who spells out O-M-G, but that’s just me.
I extend a hand to shake his. “Nice meeting you, Kevin. This is Piper and Meagan; they go to Spelman with us too.”
I thought I’d go ahead and handle the introductions because Gia and her boyfriend are whispering and giggling about something they don’t share. Yeah. They’re disgusting.
â€œOh right,” Gia says, finally rejoining the conversation. “What she said. My cousin Hope was coming, but she changed her mind. Y’all will have to meet her later. And this is my boyfriend, Ricky. Ricky meet Sunday, Piper, and Meagan.”
Ricky gives us a huge smile. Whoa. He is incredibly fine! Gia better hold on tight, because I can see the vultures already circling.
â€œNice meeting y’all,” Ricky says. “Come on, Gi-Gi. Let’s go dance.”
â€œThat’s what I’m talking about!” Gia says as she follows Ricky out to the area in the middle of the living room where everyone is dancing.
Kevin sighs. “They always abandon me for the dance floor. It’s been like this since the ninth grade!”
â€œDon’t worry,” Meagan says. “We’ll keep you company, right, Piper?”
Piper grins. “Sure. You’re a cutie!”
Kevin’s eyes widen. “You Spelman ladies are ... aggressive.”
â€œNo, sweetie. She’s agressive,” Meagan says while pointing at Piper. “I’m assertive. Did you happen to see where they’re serving beverages?”
Kevin points across the room. “The non-alcoholic beverages are over there.” He
