candidate for what I had in mind. While she was in the restroom, I sat and thought about the things I wanted to do to that delicious body of hers.
When she’d been sitting next to me, I could almost spy the sweet spot between her legs. I knew it wouldn’t take much to push that dress up and reveal her tight little prize to me, but instead of following her to the restroom to make short work of her at the club, I decided to take her back to my place so I could take my time to enjoy her before sending her on her way.
“So who’s the girl?” Rex asked, ducking back over to the bar while she was gone.
“I don’t know. She said her name is Felicity,” I told him.
“Felicity,” he pondered. “A name like that could be real just as easily as it could be an alias,” he said. “I don’t know, but what are you going to do about it?”
“When she gets back from the restroom, I’m going to take her out of here.”
“Sounds like a plan. We’ll hold down the fort,” he said, tapping the bar before walking off.
That was when I saw her walking back from the restroom. She moved like a cat. Her body gracefully glided through the room. She seemed to command the space around her as she walked. Everyone stayed out of her way, whether consciously or not. Her green eyes were trained on me the whole way, like a cat watching her prey.
Whatever her game was, I didn’t have anything to worry about. The diamond was hidden away somewhere safe, and besides that, no one would have suspected that it was at the house. It would have been expected of me to keep it at Forsaken HQ or somewhere else safe, but I had found that the best place to hide things was right under people’s noses. No one ever expected anything to be hidden practically in plain sight.
I watched Felicity as she came and sat back down next to me. I felt like I was supposed to think of her as just some unassuming beauty who happened to run into someone she knew from the talk on the street.
“I know what your game is,” I told her, and I watched her reaction.
“Oh, and what is that?” she asked as if my accusation hadn’t fazed her.
“You’re here because you want to have a little power struggle between us,” I said playfully, my hand resting on her arm on the bar. “You want to see which one of us breaks first, don’t you?” I prodded.
“Maybe I do. Does that bother you?” She raised her eyebrows at me.
“Not at all,” I answered. “In fact, if you would like to get started, I have a car waiting outside,” I said, ready to make the next move.
“Oh, where is it taking us?” she continued her in playful tone.
“Where we can get to know each other a little better and actually let this night turn into something,” I answered her.
“So, your place?” Her eyes gleamed.
“Of course.” I got up from the bar and offered her my arm. I didn’t know where the night was going to lead, but I was certain of one thing. I was going to get her out of that dress before much longer. I didn’t know what it was about her, but I wanted her so badly it was hard to stand up.
Her tone teased me almost every time she spoke, making me want her just a little more. Her confidence told me she knew I was going to want her from the moment she sat down. Her cool, almost professional demeanor told me that she had come into Paragon looking for me specifically, but I had never met her before.
I assumed this lovely woman had been sent for me by someone else, but she certainly never would have admitted that. She was a professional. That much was obvious. It was also obvious, however, that she was willing to do whatever it took to accomplish her task, even if that meant going home with a stranger. She had no idea what she was in for.
“Oh, and you’re a gentleman, too. You’re not at all what I expected, Hawk,” Felicity said playfully as she took my arm at the bar and walked with
