I don’t think I could focus much on a serious conversation without being overwhelmed with the urge to jump him and ride him as hard as I want.
“We’ll talk about that after I take you home.”
Luke kisses my index finger. Closing my eyes, I absorb the gentle sensation as it vibrates through my arm.
“You’re taking me home?” He hums against my finger.
I bite my bottom lip as I move my finger away from his mouth. The thrill his hum sends through my body only increases the yearning deep below my stomach. Even though Luke and I still have so much we need to say to each other, right now, all I want to do is touch him, and let him touch me until we both begin to heal.
“Yes,” I moan softly, “I’m not letting you drive after the beating you got tonight.”
“Will you stay with me tonight?” He asks, his deep hazel eyes practically beg me to say yes.
“We’ll see,” My tone is a little firmer than before, “I want to take things slow.”
Luke smiles softly, “I’ll go as slow as you need me to. I’m not messing up this time.”
I smile hesitantly. Despite believing him, I’m still unsure. We went way too fast before and I don’t want to make the same mistake this time.
Regardless, the aching deep within my sex is making it way too fucking hard to think clearly about the direction Luke and I should go.
My desires clash with my rational thoughts and right now so much of me just wants to be wrapped up in his arms feeling completely spent from his touch, for all time.
“We’ll see,” are the only words I can mutter. Some of the color drains from Luke’s face. I can tell he’s disappointed, but he forces through a smile.
    “Better than nothing.”
I nod, “Now, lets get you checked out by the staff so we can get home.”
Well, that brought the color back.
Luke grins as he eases himself up off the ground. I help him up the best I can. He struggles to rise to his feet, almost as if he’s too weak to stand. Placing my hand against his back, I can tell that he’s lost quite a bit of weight since I last saw him. He probably should have never of entered the ring in the first place. The blows he received, although powerful, shouldn’t have weakened him this badly, so some of this has to be from malnourishment.
All I can think about is how badly I want to kick myself for treating him the way that I did. Here’s a guy who had a relationship before me that totally blew up in his face, leaving him depressed for over a year. And then, the poor sod meets me and what do I do? I torture him by ignoring his pleas for forgiveness, not even bothering to try to figure out why he did what he did. Communication has never been my strongest skill in any relationship, especially the romantic kind.
“I’m sorry,” I whisper as I help him hobble towards the medical team.
“For what?” He asks, concern laced within his voice.
“Everything,” I choke out, trying my hardest not to cry.
His eyes grow dark, but a soft smile gently curves across his tender lips, “Me too.”
I bite my bottom lip, staring at his lips, I fight hard to resist the urge to stand up on my tip toes and kiss him. Those delicious lips are too much for me to handle right now. My mind immediately wanders off to thinking about a particular place on my body that I would love to have those hot lips pressed against… but first things first. I need to have him checked out and get some food into his fragile body.
Two more medical staff meet us half way and begin to evaluate Luke. I do my best to stay out of their way, but I can see obvious concern written across their faces. The female attendant is pretty and when she looks Luke up and down I can tell she’s thinking about a bit more than just health concerns, especially when her eyes linger around a particular spot on his shorts. I fight back a jealous urge to yell at her and tell her that he’s my man.
“How much did you have to eat today, Richards?” The male
