Barbie's... Do you like Barbie's?”
I looked up at Maxwell and he had the biggest smile on his face. “Yes I do” I said quietly. My eyes diverted back to the front door. A woman was standing in the doorway with her arms folded watching us. She wasn't fat or skinny. She had short brown hair and big brown eyes. She didn't look like someone I would of associated with Maxwell.
“Are you going to let our guests in?”
Maxwell lowered Olivia to the ground and we made our way into the house. We stepped inside and Debbie led us into the kitchen. It was amazing all stainless steel work units, black marble cupboards and black marble floor. I was breath taken.
“Daddy... Come and see my new playhouse.” Maxwell didn't get to answer and Olivia escorted him off out into the back garden.
                  “Drink?” Debbie grinned at me.
                  “Yes please” I mumbled.
“Take a seat” she pointed to some stools at a breakfast bar. I gave a little polite smile and sat down. I could see Maxwell in the garden; He was chasing Olivia. Within a second Debbie was sat next to me with a teapot. She began to pour the drinks.
“Help yourself to sugar” she gestured to the sugar bowl. “How long have you been with Maxwell?”
“Not long...” I took a sip of my tea. I couldn't stand it but I didn't want to be rude. “A few months.”
“Oh!” She sounded a little annoyed. “Just a few months? Well... You must be special. He has never brought a woman to meet Olivia before.”
                  “I know” I added.
She tilted her head and glared at me. I think she was trying to study me. I shift awkwardly in my seat. She raised her cup to her mouth and stared out the window.
“It's a shame..” she began. Her voice sounded cold and edgy. I watched her and her eyes didn't move from the window. She shrugged her shoulders and placed the cup down.

“What is?” My curiosity was dying to hear what she was on about.
“Me and Maxwell” she sighed and her eyes lowered to the cup. “I should of never left him. He is perfect and I love him very much.”
I opened my mouth wide. I couldn't find the words.
What was she trying to do?
                  Wasn't she married?
I felt a hint of jealousy rush through me. Here was the Mother of his child telling me how much she loved my boyfriend!!
“I really don't understand what your trying to say?” I snapped. I was feeling very defensive. I had been here before hadn’t I? Someone trying to make me feel bad about loving someone. Out to destroy my happiness.
Her eyes moved slowly to my direction. They were narrowed and cold. She didn't like me that was for sure. Frankly, I didn't think that highly of her either.
“I am going to leave my husband and I want Maxwell back. You should do the right thing, Georgina. Me, Maxwell and Olivia are a family.” Her toned changed slightly. “Your very young and you don't deserve to play step-mother. Do the right thing, little girl.... Leave this to the grown ups.”
I stood up and shook my head. What a thing to say? I felt angry and hurt. She wasn't that much older than me. What made her think Maxwell would want her? He was madly in love with me.
“Hey” Maxwell smiled, he looked at me and by expression he knew something was wrong. His gave his cold stare at Debbie. “What have you
