Go to
it
was her turn.
    Another
hour and another cup later, they were both ready to leave. Before
they walked out the door, Finlay turned around and placed his phone
on the nightstand. “No business while I'm with ye, lass,”
he told her as he met her at the door again. Morgan smiled and did
the same, leaving her phone behind in the room. It was sweet of
Finlay and the girl knew that it was a large leap from his usual
self.
    “So
where we goin'? Morgan nearly skipped down the hallway toward the
elevator.
How much I have missed that, doll. Finlay watched the girl. That was the carefree girl he knew. He hadn't planned on
seeing her, but the fact that everything had fallen into place and
the perfect timing made him feel like the happiest man in the world.
He was also happy that Morgan had forgiven him.
    “Shopping.”
He followed her into the elevator and laughed at the cross-armed
Morgan. “I'm going to find you a wee charm to add on that
bracelet.”
    Morgan
sighed and let her back fall against the wall of the elevator. “Fin,
it doesn't work like that, it suppo...”
    “I
don't know how it's supposed to work, and I can't be bothered to
care. I'm getting a charmy thing.”
    The
girl sighed again. She wasn't going to win and she felt awful trying
to tell him that it was supposed to be a special thing. The guys
always wanted to add their piece to the bracelet, seemingly only for
the sake of putting the others to shame. She didn't care if Finlay
got her a plastic charm or the Crown Jewel, but just going out and
buying one wasn't ever going to be special. Diversion. I'm good
with diversions. They stepped off the elevator and Morgan thought
about the first distraction she'd throw at the man.
    Before
she had a chance to tell him, Finlay told her that he'd be right back
and she watched him disappear toward the restaurant and her hopes
came true when he returned with a breakfast gift, carefully wrapped
in napkins.
    “Oh,
I love you!” Morgan took the muffin from his hands and lifted
the corner to reveal her prize. The first berry was plucked out
before they reached the front doors of the hotel.
    “Me
or the muffin?” Morgan nearly spit out her bite when Finlay
asked the question. He had a smirk on his face when she looked at
him, but she wasn't ready to answer that question. Did she love
Finlay? I think so. No, I do. She didn't know what to say. Of
course, she had fallen madly in love with the man, but just as she
had told Tanner, it didn't need to be said. Morgan dug another berry
out of her muffin, deep in thought. Then another.
    “Lass,
don't have a conniption.” Finlay wrapped his arm around the
girl. “You're killing that muffin.”
    Morgan
laughed nervously, but was thankful she was off the hook. “The
muffin,” she finally answered.
    “Aye,
is that it?” Finlay wrapped his arm more tightly around the
girl as they walked down the sidewalk.
    “Yep!”
She looked up at the tall man with a big smile. Finlay shook his head
back and forth. He knew what was coming. “Yes, I wuv you wittle
muffin. Who'z the cutest muffin?” They both laughed loudly and
Finlay dropped the topic. He could agree, it wasn't the time, nor the
place. The only thing on the agenda for the day was getting a charm
for her bracelet. The next time she saw Sean, hopefully never ,
he would see it. It was more than that, but it was definitely one of
the biggest reasons.
    Morgan
looked up from her muffin and tried to make her brain produce
something, anything. Think fast, think fast. “Can I get
another coffee?” Damn, that was stupid.
    “Ye
really want another one?” He looked at her and she nodded with
a wide smile. “Awrite then,” he sighed. He had no idea
about her game of distractions yet, so a coffee couldn't hurt. Morgan
told him she saw one about a block back from where they had come from
so they turned around and headed that way.
    After
they ordered her vanilla-caramel cappuccino, Finlay tried to get her
to walk and drink, but of course,
