also knew she was financially comfortable, not rich by any means. But as an individual she wouldn’t be tamed easily and that was half the attraction to these guys, the challenge. They knew that whomever she settled down with would be one of the luckiest guys alive, well that's what Star kept telling Blue. Blue wasn't convinced. Blue didn't think she'd settle for anyone, but now she was smitten with Pierre.
She danced all night with everyone around, not just with one person, she danced salsa, tango, and let her hair down with freestyle wiggles. Everyone was having fun all around. Blue in the middle of it all with only one person on her mind. She looked for him with no luck at all in finding him. She was surrounded by all of her friends and yet she felt so depressingly lonely, as if she were stood there all by herself.
Blue walked over to one of the terrace walls, she had a cigarette as she stared out to the woods. Then she saw him in the distance, through the tree line. Her heart skipped a beat. She saw a flicker of his face, enough for her to be convinced that he was there. She saw him again, she scanned the trees and saw him again impossibly further around the tree line as though the trees weren't hindering his running at all. It was as if he was playing a game. But he looked different now, darker, more evil, and definitely more mysterious, if it were at all actually possible. Hook line and sinker, she wanted him, and needed him, so off she swanned.
She walked up the paths leading away from the house, through the gardens and towards the woods, the party was in full swing so she knew no-one would notice her gone, even if it was her party. The trees were denser than she had anticipated. She struggled to get through the trees, catching her expensive stockings on the twigs and branches, laddering and ripping them. She was so annoyed, she growled at her laddered legs. Blue glimpsed a figure a few hundred meters further into the woods. She thought it was Pierre and was spurred on again. She clambered on, fighting through the trees, slowly making her way towards where she'd seen him.
And then all of a sudden she felt two hands grasp hold of her shoulders, tightly, the strange fingers digging in, it hurt her, but she didn't even have time to scream, she was dragged backwards.
Then oblivion, nothing, she recalls patches of memory, but they lack any real sense or meaning, she remembers grabbing out to vegetation to try to hold on, scratching the hands on her shoulders, fighting against it, her screaming, muffled screaming, blood, she remembers being bitten, she remembers being Bitten to the very core of her, the beautiful evil, the piercing of her skin, sheer pain seething through her body, with all the sexual desire and longing that could ever exist in the world she remembers being bitten, it was the most intense, sexual, orgasmic feeling she has ever experienced.
The pivotal moment of her life. The moment Blue died.
Chapter Two.
In a large Mansion not so far away from Star's stack of bricks two old vamps were discussing with great gusto the recent events that concluded in the demise of the young lady Blue.
'Why the fuck did you bite her?' Snarled Pierre, he had never felt so utterly betrayed, and to feel this because of the actions of his best and only friend left in the world. He was furious. 'She was mine to bite, not yours! And she wasn't to be bitten! She was supposed to stay human, you know how precious that is! She could turn into a complete nightmare! How could you? Did you even think it through?' Pierre felt wounded, he felt like the rug had been pulled from under him. He was blissfully happy, he had had everything, he had the love of a beautiful woman and his best friend by his side. And in one foul swoop it was all gone. One simple bite.
Daen stared at Pierre. In over three hundred years he had not wanted to rip him apart as much as he did right now. In over three hundred
